Don't trade Canucks 1st for this year

I guess that is true. i think it would be wise to just sit back. maybe get some lower selections

VAN doesn't need to make this trade, Wild can probably get a better offer from another team.

Hmm.. It isn't bad but trading Zucker to only move up 2 spots in the draft, downgrade on wing, and pick up a depth player is a lot, although I honestly don't know much about Lockwood. Would Canucks be willing to swap Leivo and Lockwood for Gaudette? I think I'd like that more.

Edit: read a bit about Lockwood and he's a lot better than I thought. I think I'd prefer this to the Gaudette proposal in my initial comment. I like Kole Lind a lot, too, if the Canucks are willing to part with him.

I'd want a bit extra, but I like the basis of it at least. Zucker gets way more flak than he deserves. You put him with a playmaker and I'd bet he scores over 30 goals. I'd have to think more about what that extra from Vancouver would have to be... Maybe a later pick (like a 3rd?)
