All possible. Caps might be able to get slightly more for Burakovsky. Good job on Dallas trade, suggested a similar trade last week. Dallas is one of the teams Nisky would probably go back to given his MTC. Honka and Janmark both passed by other players. Ho-Sang and Johanson both need new teams. Good job.

Good job. But one thing I've wondered lately is having both (forget on ice for a moment) Nisky and Orpik gone as leaders? Players love these two guys. Who will step in on D and be the glue and keep them loose and focused? I think that means something and worry they might suffer because of it.

Is there a rumor out there somewhere about that Niskanen trade? I have seen effectively the exact same trade maybe a hundred times on here, from a variety of different posters.

Personally, I'm of the mind that the Caps do not need to bring in another young defenseman and would be better off just clearing the cap space and getting a better pick to restock the forward depth, and then signing a veteran depth guy on the cheap for injury insurance. Let Djoos and Siegenthaler play full-time.

Otherwise I'd be pretty happy with those moves, although I'd let Chandler go screw up some other team's bottom six.

I think the return might be a little diminished because of his contract if he's offered a qualifying offer. The Caps should probably just take what they can get if they're not planning on tendering him.

I'm thinking that Orpik will be back in some capacity. If he plans to hang up the skates, the team will probably bring him on as a coach/consultant. I think you have to lean on Carlson to be a leader on the back-end. He's the one that gets the A when Orpik was out of the lineup.

I think the Niskanen trade is just one that makes a lot of sense. The Caps get a decent role player in Janmark and a young reclamation project defenseman. I'd be okay with a veteran signing there, but both Siegs and Djoos are lefties and play better on their strong side. I think Stephenson stays around because it seems like Reirden likes him a lot.
