You are going to be awfully upset when your team is a lot worse next season then it was this season. And the trades u make will be a lot worse then this. You literally have to double or triple your value to get what you want.

You just answered my question. All leaf fans are nuts. To think that is fair value for Hamilton u have to be high as a kite.

There is no way that Avs trade happens. Avs are not going to give up any sort of good assets. What Friedman said on his pod that Avs are interested in doing it so they can buyout Marleau with the premium that they get a substantial asset. They wont be sending a Top 4 Dman from their roster and an NHL ready prospect. Coyotes want to do the same sort of Deal, and Kings only want to do it if they can send a contract with Term to the Leafs.

When it comes to trading Marleau, leafs are against a rock and a hard place and will have to take a big lose to do it, not that Marleau is a terrible contract just the leafs want to move and and teams dont want to use a roster spot on him so the Leafs have limited options here

Canes are deep at RHD and a team on a budget, why would they want to bring in Zaitsev if they send out a RHD? They'd probably consider a trade that brings in a cheap depth defenseman with other assets being the main focus of the trade. If Pesce, Faulk, or Hamilton get traded, they're not bringing in a similar cap hit RHD in the same trade.

Because Dougie Hamilton is, you know, good at hockey. And Zaitsev is, well, not.
