*Update*
RFAs:
Boeser - signed
Goldobin - KHL
Leivo - signed
Granlund - released
Hutton - rights traded
Motte - rights traded
Pouliot - released
Gaunce - released

Assuming Edler decides to walk and hit UFA.
Also assuming Baertschi is done. I'm hoping, for his sake, that he'll be okay. Stopping might be best for his long-term health.
3 players I have seen linked with VAN:
Zucker, Maatta and Zaitsev
I think they also sign a top 6 forward through FA.

Fix Boeser's contract before I remotely consider giving a legitimate opinion.

LOL. I don't know how much he'll make? Should be more I am assuming? Regardless, dont focus on that contract. They have the cap to go more.

6.75 minimum at that duration. Probably more like 7.25

I don't understand how anyone in Vancouver could possibly think that giving up young, cost controlled players for older, more expensive players is a good thing given the current state of the team. I know you're going off of rumours, but I really hope management doesn't actually go through with any of these (or sign Myers for that matter).

I think they just want to add a bit more experience to the locker room. They have a whole lot of young guys, so adding solid pieces to compliment can make this team feel lively and fresh again. Yes, those young guys are cost-controlled, but the players being acquired are signed long-term, so you know what to expect in terms of cap.

What's the point of having Roussel, Beagle, Sutter, Edler, Tanev, etc. then?

Well Roussel, Beagle and Sutter and bottom 6 guys. Zucker adds to your top 6. Maatta and Zaitsev add to your top 4. Zucker will put up much more points then the young cost-controlled players.
