Spurgeon is my top choice but I agree with your points. Strålman would benefit the group as a whole and paired with Provorov might help him return to form.

Honestly I'd love to add both and trade Gudas. Spurgeon/Stralman/Myers = drastically upgraded RD.

In that scenario I’d deal Ghost for a forward

Provy/Spurgeon
Sanheim/Stralman
Morin/Myers.

I meant a lot of Leafs fans not all....my apologies. There’s a few that are rational and worthy of a conversation

Thanks, I try to be one of those fans, I even call out some leaf fans on here for some ridiculous trades, just done it a little while ago haha. I seen someone propose Brown, Zaitsev and a fourth for Hamilton, which is asinine.

But it also ticks me off when people **** on the leafs and their players just to be trolls/haters.

Hope to have other conversations with you bud!

I saw the Hamilton proposal. I refrained from commenting

Agreed if Carolina moves a RD if will be for a forward not another defender. I should think Faulk is the one they’d most like to move.

Definitely for a forward, they have no need to move a RHD for another D. Faulk definitely is their choice I agree, but the forward they get will be much better if they move Hamilton or Pesce, of course. I think Faulk is the likely trade though for sure, but being an expiring contract will limit their options.

I like that. Our d prospect pool is now low, with all these guys having arrived, so vet Strahlman is a nice pickup.
And I'd love for Morin to be in lineup, (or UFA Adam McQuaid) for size, but think Hagg a safer bet
But I'd roll with that 7.
I just worry we don’t have enough speed at forward = Kapanen and Frost in starting 12 please

My thoughts exactly! Or maybe Ghost could be part of a deal to get Spurgeon. I've actually done a couple rosters here on capfriendly as such. Probably all a pipe dream, but man would that be awesome. I saw a rumor somewhere that Fletcher inquired about Spurgeon early-mid last season but Minny insisted on getting back Sanheim, which is a bad deal for us.

I’d do Ghost for Spurgeon with whatever is needed to balance reluctantly. I’d rather build an offer around 11oa though.and use Ghost to acquire a forward

11oa plus for Spurgeon
Ghost for Drouin as a base maybe? Something along those lines.
