WAAAAY too rich for PK. His (declining) skating ability was exposed this season. Plus that contract is a burden all by itself.

Isles have great RHD depth anyways so not sure we need him. Pulock-Boychuk-Mayfield-Dobson-Wilde

Unfortunately, the Pens are in as bad a cap spot as the Preds. The can not afford to take on $5.2M for picks.

He would still be the teams best D. And the price includes the Preds taking on Leddy, so it is higher for that reason.

I made the trade assuming they would likely do some off-season changes (lose one or more of Hornqvist, Bjugstad, Kessel)

Not like Leddy is a burden to take on. He’s a very good dman and probably the Isles’ best trade bait

How would you line up the deal?

Think the Isles leave Leddy out so they could move him for some scoring. So, I think Mayfield, 23rd OA, Wilde and Bellows suffices. But again, $9m is just a lot

I like 23rd OA and Wilde enough, I'm hesitant to take on Bellows. I'm not too sure on NYI's other forward prospects other than Wahlstrom and I assume they wouldn't want to part with him - Wahlstrom, 23rd, Mayfield/Wilde? Don't know if they bite

The Penguins might have an interest in Subban and Bonino by trading Kessel or Malkin. The Preds would have to retain some of Subban's salary. Personally, I would have no interest in Subban unless the deal was to good to pass up.

Leddy actually has value? Don't know how you're doing us any favors
