I like all of em. Mixed feelings on WPG Trade. Definitely think we should swap our TB 2nd with their first if we’re taking Callahan and giving Fast as well. Makes it fair tbh.

That was always my 1st option, but some think the jump in Picks for a 1 year dump is too much. I personally disagree, but I think the deal for Raddysh is just as fair.

I am relatively comfortable with the Jets deal. More uncomfortable with what Trouba might want for that contract. If he is looking for more than what I proposed, then adios to that deal.

No way it’s to much. A cup contender offloading almost $6M to keep their team together just for a spot from 27 to 58? It’s not enough to NYR. But I’d personally accept your deal as well.

The only issue I have with trading for Namestnikov is the fact we are already full at center (Staal, Koivu, Eriksson Ek, Sturm, and Rask). If we had not re-signed Staal at the trade deadline, this could have been a really good move for us.

He won’t get more for sure. I have Trouba at 8 Years $7,250,000 AAV

He can basically be moved around to any Forward position. Provides versatility.

While that is a perfect Contract for him, it's rumored his camp is looking for more. As long as he comes to his senses and realizes this is more than fair for him, then that works for everyone.

Probably why he wants out of WPG. They can’t afford to overpay him. He’s dreaming for the 8x8 most likely.

Not really, we have no room on the left side for him since we'd still have 6 LW's (Parise, Fiala, Donato, Greenway, Foligno, and Zucker/Namestnikov). If we're trading for a winger, it has to be a right shot right wing.

Jets think about the Trouba trade and ultimately decline. Anderson just doesn’t seem like he has much upside. Maybe a different guy like chytil or kravstov and sure

Sharks decline

while San Jose does want to trade M. Karlsson, this trade is not worth it.

Karlsson had 12 less points than Shattenkirk, but is 2 years younger. San Jose is already missing a lot of draft picks and won't want to give up more

We could consider Howden instead, but not Chytil or Kravtsov.

Ultimately, this trade might not happen anyway. Not only is it possible for another team to make a better proposal, but Trouba's lofty Contract demands could harpoon a possible deal, just the same.

So would Strome work for you?

You could have thrown any other analytic or statistic in there to make a case for yourself. Once you use +-, all credibility goes out the window.

Nevermind the fact that he was on a young rebuilding team that struggled (so of course, good or bad, he would have a lower +-), but that stat itself is, and always has been, completely asinine. Rewarding/Punishing someone for something that happened on the ice, even if they had absolutely nothing to do with it, is ridiculous.

I don't think so. I liked him last offseason but this offseason we should be looking for a top 6 forward and Strome is more of a 3rd liner.

Considering the inexperienced team we had, he played pretty damn well. For a full Season, he was on a 25 goal/45 point pace with us once he escaped Edmonton. Could even do better in Minny.

Fine, but San Jose has enough right handed defenseman. Burns and Braun are already signed. Heed will most likely be re-signed and maybe even Karlsson. They also have Roy in the AHL who had 18 points in 58 games. Merkley should be ready next season.

A lot of Shark proposals have Braun potentially being moved. So between him possibly out, and Karlsson probably not returning, I figured there could be potential interest in Shattenkirk (at a reduced rate) on the right side.

Possibly, but I would expect them to bring up Roy and have him play with a veteran like Vlasic. They might also sign a UFA just so they don't have to give up picks.
