Ottawa trade makes no sense...Rangers now are in the game of accumulating futures- not giving them away, even if to rid of a bad contract...if there is no market for Smith, burying at Hartford or buying out are better options than handing over Lindgren and 2nd...the only reason a Lindgren (Rykov, Hajek, Howden, Anderson, etc) or any picks should be moved is to either move up in the draft or bring back young NHL (or nearly NHL ready) talent.
