Not a bad attempt but there are some obvious flaws:
1. Pominville, at age 36, would be considered for a 1-year deal but I seriously doubt he'd get $2M for what would likely be a 4th line role and depth position;
2. Rodrigues wasn't included in the re-signings of RFAs, which was either intentional or an oversight - I'm hoping the latter is the case because, with his speed, age, versatility to play any forward position, from top line to 4th line as well as on both specialty teams, if you intentionally proposed not bringing him back, you're removing the most versatile player and one who gives coaches a lot of flexibility;
3. The top 6 is dramatically improved - well done! - but the bottom 6 has me concerned they'd produce as little as the bottom 6 did this past season. Perreault is the only holdover;
4. One of the scratches would have to come off the roster - you have 23 players accounted for when the limit is 22; and
5. I doubt Botterill will leave himself only $1.4M of cap space - even though the Sabres under Pegula have spent to the cap in the past, it doesn't seem like Botterill would want to handcuff himself like it did with Regier when the Sabres were last time against the cap.

1 Year Pominville contract will be between 1 and 2 million
Completely forgot about ERod, oversight on my part.
Swap in ERod on the bottom 6 and then you're gonna wait most likely till later this season, or the beginning of next and then swap in the #7 pick from this year and Asplund
NHL is a 23 man roster
Don't know id he'll get that close, but I think we'll be a cap team again this year
