<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Steven_Stamkos</b></div><div>Even though Arizona shouldn't execute the possibility unless they receive a boatload of assets, why does Keller in Buffalo make so much sense in my mind?</div></div>
Would seem like a great match!
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Not remotely enough for Hanifin. If he's made available he easily returns a 1st+</div></div>
I don’t know about “not remotely enough” but fair enough that Hanifan talks would be looking to start with a 1st
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>YeahRighttt</b></div><div>This is directed at all Sabres ACGMs & not anyone in particular (don’t think Kevyn Adam’s is interested in taking my calls): move Krebs out instead of keeping him as your 4th line C. Your not doing him or the Sabres any favors playing him there. He can’t develop to the level of a 1 round , 17th overall on a 4th line. Just had the urge to throw that out there.</div></div>
Agreed, ideally he would be on the 3rd line but with these moves he would be on the 4th still.

Weird
In this unrealistic but fun scenario, BUF maneuvers to get Michkov at 6. The WSH deal framework is possible, Buffalo and others have tried/done this type of deal before with an even greater disparity between pick numbers ( ie OTT last year offering 7th and a cap dump for 16).
The two ARZ deals would be a major blockbuster at the draft. I think they are close to fair, top 10 picks are rarely moved but this isn’t a major move back scenario. The Keller deal is similar/better than the Chychrun deal, especially with the unprotected first. Rosen is also a ready to near ready A NHL prospect.
The CGY deal I somewhat struggled with, I know a 1st or better prospect would be what Flames fans would like. But a young NHL RHD replacement, and the equivalent of 2 2nds in an actual 2nd and a former 2nd/Current B Prospect doesn’t seem like it would be way off
UPL could also be included in the Keller trade. That or sent to another team for a 2nd.
And for a future look towards next year, Mantha, Okposo, Boosh, Comrie, Andersen would all be coming off the books (~16M). Dahlin, Power, Hanifan, Krebs extensions would be right around that (~13-16M). Leaving sign or trade options for Mittelstadt, etc depending on cap, play, and other factors.

Mock Offseason 2nd Edition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc222</b></div><div>He’s not a scrap the deal as a whole is scraps. I also fail to see how he would be compared to York when again a handful of our players had better seasons than him at around the same age as him in the AHL. He would be like 7th or 8th at best on our prospect list in my opinion and the deal definitely doesn’t get Hart. A deal for Hart starts with Levi or the Buffalo 2023 1st. Neither of which will be offered which is why Hart will 100% not end up in Buffalo if he is moved.</div></div>
Fair enough, but just as a rebuttal - In the Athletic’s rank of players under 23, the only Flyers above him were Gauthier, Farabee, and York (however York was in the same tier hence my comparable). You are absolutely entitled to that opinion though.

Mock Offseason 2nd Edition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc222</b></div><div>Hey man it’s alright to tell people when you don’t know what ur talking about lol. Try trading Hart for more than scraps and maybe the Flyers would accept. If your goalie is so good and worth anything, play him! If Rosen is worth so much why did 4 Phantoms have better seasons than him, one of which being a defenseman? 😂😂😂 If your team is actually going to be good what’s a mid to late 2nd that could be a 1st in a year? This deal for Hart is literally scraps lol there’s nothing worth it to even move him for. The Flyers have better prospects and picks, we can just wait to move Hart at a deadline when everyone gets desperate</div></div>
I can understand wanting value back for your teams’ guys, but saying Rosen is a scrap is not accurate at all. He was the 14th overall pick in 2021, and was over a .5 PPG player in the AHL as a 19 year old and is having a very good playoff. He would be comparable to Cam York in your prospect depth

Paul Hamiltons wet dream
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Reynolds7330</b></div><div>He’s an RFA. He absolutely can be offersheeted</div></div>
There's differences....
Boeser is a Group 1 RFA (or 10.2.C). He signed an ELC at 20 years old, meaning he needed 3 pro seasons to qualify for Group 2 RFA at expiry. To earn 3 pro seasons at 20, he needed to play in 10 or more pro games in each of those 3 years. Boeser only played 9 games in his first season.
Group 1 RFA = No Offer Sheet Eligibility

Dream Next Three Weeks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rktkt66</b></div><div>Not a bad attempt but there are some obvious flaws:
1. Pominville, at age 36, would be considered for a 1-year deal but I seriously doubt he'd get $2M for what would likely be a 4th line role and depth position;
2. Rodrigues wasn't included in the re-signings of RFAs, which was either intentional or an oversight - I'm hoping the latter is the case because, with his speed, age, versatility to play any forward position, from top line to 4th line as well as on both specialty teams, if you intentionally proposed not bringing him back, you're removing the most versatile player and one who gives coaches a lot of flexibility;
3. The top 6 is dramatically improved - well done! - but the bottom 6 has me concerned they'd produce as little as the bottom 6 did this past season. Perreault is the only holdover;
4. One of the scratches would have to come off the roster - you have 23 players accounted for when the limit is 22; and
5. I doubt Botterill will leave himself only $1.4M of cap space - even though the Sabres under Pegula have spent to the cap in the past, it doesn't seem like Botterill would want to handcuff himself like it did with Regier when the Sabres were last time against the cap.</div></div>
1 Year Pominville contract will be between 1 and 2 million
Completely forgot about ERod, oversight on my part.
Swap in ERod on the bottom 6 and then you're gonna wait most likely till later this season, or the beginning of next and then swap in the #7 pick from this year and Asplund
NHL is a 23 man roster
Don't know id he'll get that close, but I think we'll be a cap team again this year

Not to beat a dead horse, but no way in hell does BUF do that. Maybe you'd get the STL 1st from Buf for this deal but 7th is only be used to select a player or to move up in the draft. Highly, highly doubt it's used to trade for a current player unless they are under age 23

A few comments:
1. Fingers crossed Sobotka sees the writing on the wall and realizes he needs to go to the KHL and it saves a roster spot and cap room;
2. You are going to have to pay Linus at least $2,000,000 a season if not $2,500,000;
3. Thank you for not dumping Sheary;
4. Hunwick can not be in the lineup everyday.... how about flipping him to Edmonton;</div></div>
I agree with most of your points. Sobotka is only 1 more yr so its not the end of the world if he stays, he'll be a depth guy.
I agree that Linus might be too low, can't seem to adjust it but bump him up to $2M and I think it's good.
Sheary is a serviceable 3rd line guy that can swap in on the 2nd if needed occasionally.
I agree, though we are a little limited with injuries. I see him as being the 7th guy once Pilut comes back in Oct/Nov

Honestly, that's a terrible deal for ROR. Shaw is a borderline 3rd liner with a high cap, Sabres don't need Lindgren, and a 2nd and 4th is laughable. I've seen so many offers with Lindgren and Shaw/Scherbak/Lehkonen that I'm guessing this is the new Halak + Ryder + 2nd...
Montreal could have gotten ROR with the #3 pick, but now with that and Galchenyuk gone, there really isn't anything the Habs can offer (that they'd trade) that makes it worth it. To get ROR, you'd have to give up 1 if not 2 pieces you really wouldn't want to trade

Neither does it. No offense to Montreal, but the best asset they had to facilitate a ROR trade was #3, they wanted to keep it but now they don't really have any pieces to make a good deal.

Highly doubt the ducks move Vatanen, especially for that, and I just can't get behind that VAN trade. Plus you then have a whole lot of inexperience on the roster and putting them in big roles (Smith, Nylander, Juolevi, etc). Juolevi especially, jumping to the 1st pair right out of Juniors. Points for creativity though.

I think Reinhart can definitely be their 1C, or at worst, 2C behind Keller. And maybe switch Baptiste with Will Borgen or Casey Fitzgerald if they're looking for a D prospect, or Bogosian if they want a roster player that helps them reach the floor.
