A few general thoughts:

1. I am a bit surprised you opted to not sign CJ Smith & Justin Bailey.... you had been on a kick to sigh those types to lower value contracts;

2. I really like that LA Kings trade..... I think we would have to include something more.... maybe the RFA rights to Seth Griffith or Justin Bailey;

3. I think you have nailed the Carolina deal. I would think Faulk would be perfect mentor for Dahlin in addition to taking the pressure off of Risto allowing him to play on 2nd pair;

4. I am happy you did not move Scandella;

5. I still think Lehner gets moved as his personality is so much different than Ullmark. I believe that GMBots will move Lehner's rights for a 2nd Round pick or a player/prospect from a goalie needy team.... in the event that GMBots can not move Lehner for close to value then yes I could see him back in a Sabres uniform (that is just not the ideal situation);

6. I like Wilson's game but do you think he can play 2nd line minutes..... when do you think Nylander is ready for the Big Club;

I always enjoy your teams as they make me think.... I have to say you always come at it from a fresh perspective!!!!

I thought faulks play had dropped off? Is that not true?

And we assume dahlin is playing the left here, correct? He played right side on the bigger rinks, but hes probably playing the left side as a lefty.

1. I signed both, theyre in the minors. Bailey has to go through waivers, smith does not which is why...

5. I've explained my views on Lehner, I think he gets a bad rap, but is on the right side of the team culture. He definitley butted heads with Kane, Bogo, and ROR (the 3 main culprits of the team culture issues imo). Goalies are weird. As i said, he was blunt, but he was right all year. The team needs that. They need a goalie that will stand on his head even at the worst of times. With the influx of talent, theyre going to be better off and Lehner will be a different person. Especially if they actually do get rid of ROR.
6. No, but as I noted Nylander and Smith have a shot at winning 2 LW and 3 LW. Wilson was playing on the second line at the end of this year and held his own. He'd be there if Nylander faulters out of camp

Faulk season this year dropped off from where he's been but he's still a very good RHD who will eat up a lot of minutes so Risto doesnt need to take them all. If Dahlin wants to play right he can play right, im still not putting him on the top pair
