Long term cap relief but the 2nd is unnecessary tbh. Maybe throw in some filler like E-Rod or McCabe.

VGK is going to need Buffalo to retain some of RR's salary for this to work or even makes sense for them.

I agree with Champ that the 2nd is overkill.....

Miller = Risto (some may argue Risto is a defensive liability but he still is a 40+ point getter where as best you can hope for from Miller is 30)

Karlsson = Nylander & St. Louis 1st in 2019 if you need a throw in I say the rights to Girgensons.....

Vegas can not sign Wild Bill unless they walk or deal one of the other players they have signed to LTD....

What I would do if I were Vegas I would say hey GMBots how about you send us:

Risto
Nylander
Rights to Girgensons
2019 Third Round Pick

Buffalo receives:

Miller
Wild Bill Karlsson (negotiated contract required)
David Clarkson
Vegas 2019 2nd Round Pick
Vegas 2019 3rd Round Pick

This gives Vegas much needed Cap relief in one deal. Vegas still ends up having 8 picks in 2019.

Also no way IMO does Perry waive his NMC to go to Buffalo..... I also would not trade Okposo straight up for Perry (definitely would not include the 2nd round pick but again just my opinion..... Okposo was just coming back from almost death last year.... I will give him a pass for last year as anyone with a near death experience deserves a pass).

id rather have E-rod/McCabe than a 2021 2nd rounder (we have 2 anyway)

Because you think they’re “good”

ure proposed trade is maybe close but Wild Bill has to return more value than Alex Nylander (a bust so far) a very late 1st round pick (vegas already has 9 picks in first 5 rounds this year) and a mediocre 4th liner in girgensons. Hes a young all around very solid 2nd line center.

i think something fair would be

Ristolainen (he’s not very good)
Nylander
McCabe
2019 1st round pick (STL)
2021 2nd round pick (BUF)

for

Karlsson
Miller
Clarkson

theyre not bad...they are solid NHL players
E rod is an ideal 4th line center who can move up and down the lineup kill penalties and play the wing as well

McCabe is a good bottom pair d that has a physical presence...has good leadership qualities

the chance of a random 2nd round pick playing 100 career NHL hockey games is pretty slim
