Help McDavid Score

Created by: JacksonJulieanna
Team: 2019-20 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 12, 2019
Published: Jun. 12, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Mainly just adding Pirri and Ennis to play with McDavid.

Both should be able to score 10-12 more goals, meaning they make the playoffs right?

Defense still needs work, but they need to make room for that too. Cant scratch 4-5M guys.

Goaltending sub-par but can be made to work.

**title is help Mcdavid score**
**signs 2 fourth line / fringe NHLers**

In all seriousness though, Edmonton really is in between a rock and a hard place. They have so many bad contracts that are holding them back of properly giving Mcdavid some legit help

I really like the idea of EDM signing Pirri and Ennis, that would be sick.

Both have made it back to their old forms of 20 goal scoring-top 9 wingers, with McDavid they'll score 30 goals each.

Lmao. They’d be lucky to score 30 goals combined

I think Draisaitl is "legit help", don't you?

Both Ennis and Pirri were on pace for north of 20 goals each. please educate yourself before going onto the internet please.

Edmonton has 3 legitimate top 9 forwards (Mcdavid, Drai, RNH). Obviously they’re not third line guys lol but I’m saying out of their entire top 9, 3 guys deserve their roaster spots. That ain’t gonna cut it.

Ennis had 12G in 51GP this season on Torontos 4th line mainly. Pirri had 12G in 31GP in Vegas, where he wasnt prominent either. Both guys can score goals when given the opportunity. Ill agree that it wont be as affective as actual 1st line talent, but for scoring wingers on a budget these are the best bets in my opinion.

“On pace” gtfo out of here. Pirri played half the season in the AHL And was rocking a high shooting percentage. Not nearly enough sample size to say he would’ve cracked 20 goals. They’re both incredibly streaky players who can easily go cold. They’re fourth liners. To say they’d score 30+ EACH with Mcdavid is just asaine. Dumbest thing I’ve read

I agree it’s worth the gamble. It’s a low cost, decent reward type of signing. Like I said Edmonton is in such a bad position due to lack of prospect pool, and terrible contracts which prevent them from bringing in real NHL talent. But buddy over here says they’re both breaking 30 goals lmao that’s ridiculous.

Both breaking 30 is a stretch, for sure. 1 could get close(McDavid is an animal) but I would doubt both. An alternative would be taking the 3.5M(Ennis and Pirri contracts) and the 2M spare(5.5M total) and looking for a higher end Winger for McDavid. Its just a matter of who will come to Edmonton. Perhaps a guy like Nyquist could be a fit, however would be more of a higher-risk, higher-reward guy.

Lmao idgaf about spelling. This is the Internet baud. Saying two 4th liners are gonna get 30+ goals just cause they’re playing with Mcdavid is just so dumb. Remove your leafs bias towards Tyler Ennis. Hes not that good. I swear some leafs fans on here are so clueless

I think Nyquist would be a better option. Or maybe even an Eberle reunion. Chirelli really hindered this team with such bad contracts. Edmonton’s “core” of Drai, Mcdavid, RNH, Nurse, Klefbom should be one of the best in the leauge. Their supporting cast sucks though

There are fans of every fanbase, who are indeed clueless.

they are not 4th liners, were they at the beginning of the year? yes, they were. but they got back into form. they worked hard and they scored goals and they got back up there.
