I think if all these signings are made you have to trade Saad and/or Murphy to free up cap space

Maybe... the signings are hard to figure. Have to assume a certain level of performance for each player. The remaining cap space leaves the place for two league min contracts no?

If compliance buyouts exist in your scenario, TOR buys out Marleau and signs Marner to 8x11m before the draft.

Cool beans. I didn’t make this thread as a Leafs hater, I made this thread as a Blackhawks fan. I’m not prognosticating the doom and gloom of Toronto. I like the player and wanted to see what our line-up could look like with him in it.

I get that you guys take a lot of poop, try not to take it so personally.

You have a point, but the Blackhawks have a good young defense that'll need contracts. Realistically, I think Saad and Murphy's deals end in like 2-3 years so maybe one more good season with them
