He could've had 6 points and been at a career high because you know, it was his rookie year lol.

Claude is on the wrong side of 30 so it doesn't exactly scream homerun for the sabres with giving up a player with a very high ceiling and lots of talent.

Edit: now that I'm re reading your comment, you clearly have zero clue who Casey is

I said career high, because he had 5 points in his short stint two years ago. I also know who he is and I thought he had a vastly underwhelming rookie season. There wasn't much in his game that impressed me to believe he is a long term top six player.

He played with okposo on his line for most of the season. He's 20 and has a lot of skill. Would you say the same for Nolan Patrick?

Yes. I think Nolan Patrick has a low 2nd center ceiling with his best bet being a very high 3rd line center. I'm pretty sure that's why the Flyers went after Hayes as hard as they did.

Reminder to all the Buffalo fans thinking we have a plethora of centers to throw away in Philly...Claude Giroux has played LW for the past 2 seasons. Nolan Patrick has not shown he's a Top-6 player yet, so we are looking for a 2C in Hayes, slotting Patrick at 3C until he's ready for a larger role. And Couturier, don't get me started on that nonsense. He's not going anywhere, Selke-quality 75 point 30 goal 1C at $4.3? Best contract in the NHL
