The rumored trade was pk for Jake. Then I think ghost for ekholm is kind of an even swap. Then they get a young 3rd pair d to make up for losing 2 dmen along with a high first for Granlund. I feel that it pretty even.

Even with that trade they would have Josi , Ellis, ghost and fabbro as a top 4

It also frees up like 5M to help them go after duchene.

That’s a good point I didn’t think of. I’d rather have Ekholm over Ghost but Nash needs Forwards so I see the advantage.

Also my knowledge of Eastern Conference defensemen is lacking. So Ghost may well be worth more than I think.
