lmao. you do know Gostisbehere is a 40 point defense man with 4 yrs of a team friendly contract right? its going to take A LOT more than than a career underachiever and a 3rd pairing D to get him.

Wouldn't hate it, not sure how much I'd want Drouin that much though.

Hahahahaha Drouin had 53 pts in a bad season for him. If he gets a better center on his line, he’s a 70+ pts player. If your talking about how Ghost is worth that much, his trade value has taken a hit after this year. Don’t get your hopes up if you’re a philly fan because you’re not getting a First rnd pick, a player and a good prospect for him.

I guess Drouin has had a bad year every year in the NHL... or he's just not a 70 point player.

The idea that Gostisbehere has taken a hit in trade value after a 40 point season is ridiculous.
-A puck moving Defenseman
-A 40 point Defenseman, in a down year
-4 years at 4.5 hit
-PP QB

yea... if he's made available a return of a 1st, a 2/3rd line winger and B prospect is entirely possible.

What proof do you have that Drouin can be a 70 point player?

I like Ghost, but like Drouin, he has some flaws. They are both good powerplay guys, but they play different spots. Drouin is best on the left wall where he can set up plays (pretty sure that's where Giroux sets up so don't see a reason for Philly to want him). Ghost can QB a PP from the point, which would be huge to pair with a guy like Weber.

I think Drouin has more upside, he is very skilled. Ghost has already proven himself with a 65 pt season though.

If philly management actually does want to move on from ghost then this trade is reasonable. If they want to keep him then there's nothing to talk about.
