I'd be fine with the trades. But the ferland signing is ugly.

The trades are alright, but I think Dzingel would be better on this team and would be a little cheaper than your Ferland signing

I am not in any hurry to sign ferland to that term. Tampa seems ideal with their surplus of middle 6 forwards making 5-6, and a cap crunch to get out of. Pick one of the 4 tb forwards and have callahan carry their luggage- it shouldnt cost much and the value should be better than giving ferland 33 million dollars and hoping eichel gets him to earn it. And if dvorak and/or mittelstadt arent playing a well rounded game, a guy like miller would look better to help out than the other obvious choice- boyle getting tons of ice time because hes taking all the d zone faceoffs.

If we signed Ferland to that with that kind of cap space and hadn't offered Duchene 9 million I'd be livid.
