Description

One trade, two free agents, bridge deal to Vrana. Team has more sandpaper, better PK, more responsible and reconstructed bottom six. Another option is not qualify Burakovsky but resign with Tanev free agent money to play 3RW for two years. Forego Glenndening trade and sign a cheaper UFA PK specialist like Accari or promote from within.

Why? seriously. Caps were the worst face-off team in the league. Glenndening one of the leagues best right handed face off men and excellent on PK. Tanev cheaper and faster than Connolly. Hathaway gritty 10 goal 4th liner. Love to keep Connolly but can't afford.

People here irrationally hate Glendening. You'd have to slot him at center and move Dowd to wing to utilize his abilities. Glendening is only an OK PKer at this point; don't confuse high minutes with being good.

I like Tanev, his deal looks funny to me though. I don't see him doing a 4 year deal that cheaply in the open market. He looks like a guy on the rise. Maybe he does a short bridge deal at that figure though.
