Description

Flyers move an number of picks for a late-mid round pick to grab Kaliyev if he falls. Obviously don't want to trade with the Pens but there's a few teams rumoured to be interested in maybe turning a first rounder into several picks to get more draft lottery tickets (see Dallas and Calgary).

I would love Kaliyev in our system, I would love if they got a mid round 1st to draft him as well.

I hate Pirri though, would rather a guy like Zucc in the free agent market or a guy like Zucker/Kaspanen in the trade market.

Way more expensive though. I really wanted a 1 year UFA guy who can just slot in and if Frost / Farabee / Ratcliffe look awesome it's no big deal to slot them in if Pirri doesn't pan out or injuries happen.

Not a bad idea at all. And yes, he would def be more expensive. But ive always loved his game, and he's available now. i think if we sign hayes he would fit perfectly on that line with him and JVR/Lindblom, even G. but not a bad idea about a stopgap until one of the 3 in the A is ready.
