Getting Winnipeg some cheaper contracts, the Wild some younger assets with potential, Colorado a 2nd line C (if they play Makar, Barrie and Johnson that RH side of D is stacked) and Montreal a LHD for picks (late 2nd but could be 3rd or whatever instead)

WPG wants quality over quantity...Chychrun and a pick...I would say Chychrun and a first for Ehlers and our 2nd.

I don't think Arz is giving up Chychrun. I think Ehlers is good, but it's Winnipeg that's in trouble trying to sign people, not Arizona desperately going afte Ehlers in particular. I agree that this trade favors the Coyotes, but not as much as the Trouba trade favored the Rangers. I think the move that makes sense is trading forwards on cheaper contracts for the better forward in Ehlers, but I could be wrong. I honestly think Wpg should trade Laine before Ehlers regardless

Ehlers is a perfect trade chip...He is controlled at a low cap hit. WPG doesnt have to trade him like they did with Trouba...It will be only for a great return...NYI and CAR are the best fits at that.
