Taking Kapanen for a second, third, and taking on Marleau's cap hit. Similar to the Teravainen+Bickel trade in 2016.

It's a nice thought, no chance Marleau waives to go to team where careers die, kinda like Kessel said not a chance

Nice trade but two notes. One, it's been reported Marleau only wants to play in California, likely only SJ so wouldn't waive unless you bought him out. Two, thats actually an overpay on Kappy. 3 years at about 2.9M is market value.

Then you’re overpaying huge. Kap and Marleau for a 4th. That’s a lot of cash to take on.
