Why would Tampa have to include Sergachev to save 3 mill in cap space? Risto is a downgrade on Sergachev imo

They would need to include a top player. Whether its Johnson, Sergachev, or an A level prospect for Buffalo to take Callahans almost 6mil contract. Dumping a contract these days isnt cheap

Moving Callahan saves them about 3 mill over a buyout. If you want Sergachev or Johnson as compensation for taking on Callahan, they will buyout Callahan and trade the asset for real value. Its not that difficult, I do not think they move a top end player to save what amounts to 3 mill in cap.
