Pavelski could be hugely valuable to Colorado, but I don’t know if he fits that team’s style. Colorado is all speed, all the time. Pavelski doesn’t play that way.

I get what you're saying but I feel like Pavelski can have success no matter where he plays simply based on his ridiculous and uncanny ability to tip pucks in front of the net. I also feel that because of this he will age quite well in the rest of his NHL career.

I have been enjoying the Barrie for Ehlers ideas. I think that trade would be fair if contract lengths were similar. But Ehlers' is super team-friendly for the player he is where as Barrie will likely be demanding 7-8mil at the end of next year the way things are heading, and that's IF he wants to be in Winnipeg. I think the 1 for 1 is the best way to go, If WPG can't keep him, they'll find someone who will but that's a lot of trouble compared to just keeping Ehlers. Also, I believe Pavelski is worth at least 7-7.5 on the open market.

That's wayyy too many years for Pavelski. I'd be happy to get him at $7M/3 years.

I agree we do play the speed game, but you also have to look at sodes who had his best scoring year and hes not much of a speedster and wilson is a really rough skater and he seemed to fit in, i think pavelski on the wing could be really solid for us.
