Why do you want to trade anything for Puljujarvi? Second, what has Puljujarvi done to deserve $1.5Mx2?

still has huge potential. just not working out in Edmonton. $1.5 is high I'll admit but I was trying to think of a bridge contract that gives him a chance in PItt but doesn't make Pitt over commit (like 6-7 year contract). I think the change can do him well and he is still speedy. Like I said, just not working out in Edmonton. Plus with the cap not going up as much as everyone thought, this is a potentially high quality player the Pens can get cheap.

Connolly just scored 40+ points at even strength, he tied production with Atkinson and Dadanov, both of whom play on contracts over 5 mill. Connolly is only going to be 27 next season, so he will definitely be getting more than 3 mill. He is also a top six winger, at worst 3rd line. He is much better than Dzingle too. I don't find that to be a remotely realistic contract.

Well I could never see paying a 3rd line guy $5mil........oh wait.....the Pens do that with Kessel and Hornqvist.
