I think Connolly wants to go somewhere where he can play in the top 6 and get PP time. If he's gonna play on the third line and not get any real PP time, then he'll just stay in Washington for that cap hit.

Connolly is signing somewhere for at least 5x4.5 probably closer to 5x5
