Avs win that trade easily, you're adding Soda or more likely Kerfoot instead of Greer for Vancouver to even consider it.

Barrie wouldn't come cheap. The whole report from draft day of Virtanen and a pick for Barrie is absurd. You want an elite offensive defensman who will give you 50+ points from the blue line every year? You might have to part with some big fish. It isn't gonna be a futures package. Avs are in a better spot now than they've been in years. If they're losing Barrie, they're adding a big piece. Just because Winnipeg made a terrible trade with Trouba doesn't mean the Avs would.

I'd say Kerfoot would be fine to switch into that. I'd do that.

I think that would be pretty fair myself, two BC boys, cap room to sign both, Kerfoot can maybe give you a future 2C or at least a good wing who isn't bad to come in for faceoffs if the centre gets tossed. Not sure VAN would want to lose Bo at that price even though.
