In its advance article (with no byline) in today's edition, the Los Angeles Times identifies -- in two places -- the player believed to be Anaheim's preference in tonight's first round as "Trevor Zergas."

Have you ever seen the satirical revue "The Capitol Steps," which features a sketch in which a guy comes out and does an entire speech in Spoonerisms? The truly sad part about this is that the Times has two good beat reporters (Helene Elliott and I forget the gentleman's name) who are consistently good and one guy who covers hockey part-time (Curtis Zupke) who is also usually pretty good, so why they had to stoop to grabbing something off the wire at the last minute is simply editorial malpractice. If Ms. Elliott is on vacation or in France at the WWC, then she could have phoned something in from memory that would have been better. Hell, they could have asked ME.

Yeah i'd be totally shocked if Trevor Zegaras fall to the Ducks, Detroit probably takes him with their #6 pick, Unless by a miracle one of Dach/Cozens or Turcotte falls to #6 and Detroit takes on of them.
