So gonna trade Kessel for some minor pieces then trade a similar package of pieces for Johnsson, makes no sense. I don't get why the Pens would trade Kessel, they're trying to win as many cups as possible while Sid and Gino are still solid contributors are they not?

I think they need to keep Kessel, dump some pricey depth defensemen and trade Sullivan in for a new model.

This is minor? You acquire three pretty large pieces and get rid of a few massive pieces too.. From what we have seen from GMJR and how tight they are against the cap now.. I'm not sure even one of the "minor changes" are possible.

swapping Barrie for Schultz is just trading one rental for another. The penguins can't afford them next year with that cap and Murray needing a contract extension.
