Imo having a 4th line that costs over 5M is ridiculous and the cutting of players should start there. Also Karlsson will be 5.9x8.

Duchene is rumored to have already decided on NSH so I could see Montreal sending a 2nd rounder 2020 and a B+ prospect to take Stastny and McNabb off of Vegas' plate, alleviating 9M.

They won't trade both Eakin and Smith, it could be one or the other they also don't need another defenseman . You need to give Gusev a contract.

How bad is vegas cap? It isn't that bad, since they do have assets they can trade for cap space. Problem is there are other teams, Leafs, Jets, Sharks, Lightning, maybe others that want to dump some high priced contracts. As a result it's a buyer's market and maybe the return for these good players maybe not be very high.
