You're high if you think we can get something like Jost back for the Backes contract. Toronto had to pay a first round pick to get rid of the last year of Marleau's deal just to have Carolina (maybe) buy him out and offer up a 6th rounder in return. Backes has two years left at $6mil. Any team that can take him ain't giving anything to us.

Pavelski will want more term than one year. That ain't happening.
