The only reason I picked Arizona is cause they are know for taking other teams bad contracts for picks / players. I still believe in JP could become an elite scorer in the league.

The Coyotes are closer to the cap then ever. The Coyotes in the past didn't take on "bad contracts" as such. They took on cap space...LTIRs and a retired player, which actually costs them little or no money. Lucic cap and actual $$$$ would be too much for them to swallow.

No to the Toronto trade. Benning is our 2nd best RD, no way should he be traded for a 3rd line winger AND YOU THREW IN A PICK TOO. That's 3x Brown's value going back to Toronto.

I don't see a trade where Edmonton wouldn't have to retain any $$$ on a Russell deal. I'd be easier to just buy him out. Less than a million against the cap I'm fine with plus $3mill in cap savings and opens a spot for Jones.
