Don't think Carolina or Dallas take those deals. Carolina and Toronto almost had a deal for Pesce at the draft apparently and ended up saying no. Dallas also just doesn't have the center depth to give up Faksa

Heres a question for Leaf fans: Would you be willing to move Nylander for a D prospect and a future maybe in order to keep Marner?

For the canes trade I think I works for both sides. Canes get forward upgrades and don't move a guy they like in Pesce and the leafs get a solid dman. As for the starts I disagree Dickinson and Dellandrea are ready to step up.

Dallas has to love Zaitsev in order to trade Faksa. Don't think Dallas would do that trade. Now if they want Zaitsev...may the Leafs can just give him away for cap space.

Ya I just don't know what the Canes are going for, I mean they turned down Kapanen and Kadri for Pesce so they are obviously valuing their RHD very highly. With Dallas losing Spezza though I think Fakso takes on more responsibility this year, don't think Dickinson is ready for 2nd line duties, Dellandrea still needs someone to shelter him a bit. Plus they don't need more defenseman, with Lindell, Klinberg, Heiskanen and Honka all back there I don't think they do this deal.

I think they value Pesce because he is signed to a really good contract. Faulk would have less value because he is older is a rental and Hintz will play 2nd line center.

Not for a prospect or futures. For an NHL-ready D I'd consider it. Someone on par with Nylander in terms of value to the team.
