Description

Duchene would fit in well with this fast canes team. There is a little bit of a salary dump in the ARI trade. The trade with EDM also helps the canes up front. JP has said he doesn't want to sign back there, and he is really good friends with Aho and TT.

Is Peter Chiarelli running this team? you're giving up a ton for nothing in return in both trades. A 1st for JP, are you insane? and then youre paying him $2.5 mill for what? he can barely play in the league right now.

No way Duchene only signs for 4 years.

Aho contract is the wrong term and $

The JP trade may be too high, but I do not want to give up a player for him, and that is likely what holland would want. The 2.5 is probably high.

The Faulk trade is really to free up space, if Demers ends up being a bust at least we cleared cap to be able to sign our FA and we call up Jake Bean.

Duchene will sign for $10 million AAV over 7 years when all is said and done. I don't think Aho takes less than $9 million AAV.

6 years brings Aho right to UFA status. No GM would do that. They either do a shorter deal to buy arbitration years or do an 8 year deal to buy 2 years of UFA status. Aho is likely looking at an 8 year $9.5 to $10 mill deal.

Duchene wants 7, thats all its going to be.

No way that GM is allowed to trade Faulk and get that little of a return.
