Maybe Florida can sign only of the two. But really wants the fascination about Bobrovsky? He'll be 31 before the season starts and has won one playoff round in his six NHL seasons. Not saying his lack of teams success is his fault, but do really want to tie your can to him.

Yes it sucks for Canucks. But they made their own bed why they front loaded Lou's contract....that's the real reason for the 3m X 3 yrs payment the Canucks have.

Florida now has tons of cap space and would expect them to land both Bob+Panarin. It's to good to be true for both as dont have to pay taxes and could retire afterwards easily.

I wonder if Van considered it possibly happening?
I think they were already on the hook for 800k but the retirement adds 2.2mil making it 3mil, correct me if I’m wrong.

Either way I don’t care, lmao I just hope they’re still interested in Zaitsev tbh.

I would be all over Panarin for sure but I agree, I think it be a smart option to go after someone like Talbot or Varlamov.

Also completely agree. NHL put that in place for exactly this!
palhal liked this.

But how much would Bob cost over 7 years? is 9 million plus worth it?

the 800k they were retaining just gets whipped out. the contact gets split 1/4 for Florida and 3/4 for Vancouver so they get that 3 million.

I dont think they be in on Zaitsev anymore tho unless this miss one of these FA

That’s a bad trade for the panthers. They can get a top 4 d man for hoffman over two third liners. Reimer doesn’t drop his value that much.

Panthers have to take a 1 million cap penalty for each year, 3 years in total

Is that right????
