Description

A semi-reasonable/possible Oilers summer (although not one i'm a huge fan of).

notes:

I used this guy from reddit's trade simulator to make sure the trades didnt favor the Oilers.

1. Re-sign JP, Khaira to bridge deals

2. Trade Sekera (with cap retention) and Puljujarvi to Carolina for 1 year of TVR. I would NOT support this trade
in real life but it would free up cap space this year and band-aid RHD until Bouchard is ready...so its possible

3. Sign Conolly (as rumored) to a 4-year deal for slightly more than he deserves (because Oilers). Also sign Mrazek (as rumored)

4. Sign Tanev to a depth role on 1 year deal

5. Pray Marody and Benson can contribute and Gagner doesn't suck.

6. finish with 85 points, missing the playoffs, win 3rd place in lottery and draft Byfield or Holtz

Pulujarvi may have requested a trade but using him to move Sekera who has two years remaining and is actually pretty good when healthy isn't a wise move and TVR sucks.

Connolly contract seems accurate, but will most likely be for 5 years.

Mrazek has already been paid 4 mill by Holland previously, I think he will wanr 4-4.5 on a 3-5 year deal as he will be searching for stability after playing on 3 teams the last 1.5 seasons
