Description

This is part of an ongoing exercise to narrow down who could and who could not make a realistic offer sheet for one of the top RFA's. In this case Mitch Marner of my Toronto Maple Leafs.

So this one should be fun since this is one of the teams that makes the most sense according to Rumor Central.

Interesting in deed....so with having to sign at least 1 goalie...I assume Mrazek at say 3 million, plus one would assume Forsberg, and McGinn and Forling since they just traded for two of them and the other guy had 32 points and a great playoff.

Hurricances are now over the cap by 5 million. Looks to me like the purchase of Marleau takes the Canes out of the RFA sweepstakes. They have there own problem RFA situation with AHO.
In fact by taking Marleau they allowed the Leafs enough room to sign both Johnsson and Kapanen who were the best options for an offer sheet by the Carolina.

Canes could shake it up by still trading a RHD but I don't see an offer sheet coming here.

If Marner is a Cane, Aho is a Leaf. Both from a revenge standpoint but also an economic one.
