Considering this is in 2021. It's kind of astonishing that the 3rd line on this roster is currently our 1st line today...

I have a feeling that some people (ie. Tatar, Gallagher, Petry, Danault, etc.) might be asking for bigger raises, but the prospect of what the team could look like is tantalizing.

I think Danault will cost a whole lot more once he's UFA. Think of the kind of offers Bonino got on the open market two years ago (4,1M), I think Danault is already better and he's trending upwards (also started to get recognition this year and got votes for the Selke). His offensive numbers are better than Bonino's because he plays first line but still, I'd be shocked if he does not get 5-6M+. He could also use Hayes' terrible contract.

The one positive thing is that he's a local guy and he seems to really love it here so he might take a small discount.
