Yes, someone is overvaluing Ellis by a country mile here.

I might be convinced to do Kadri and kappy for Ellis. That would be the extent of it though.

Not even though because Ellis' contract is a total nightmare 8 years for 6.25 I'm gonna pass.

That is still too much. Zaitsev and Kappy/Johnsson but we need to keep Kadri. Ellis is a great defenseman but not worth 2 of our top forwards

I agree, a deal with zaitsev and kappy would be good for the leafs but I doubt Nashville wants him as a 1rhd as proposed here. After the subban Trade Ellis is staying.
