Team Explanation
The Zaitsev trade was from the report saying that the price for Zaitsev is a mid-round pick, a prospect and a bottom pairing defensemen. I decided to not take the defensemen and just stick with a prospect and a pick.

The Manson trade is based on the fact that Anaheim is rebuilding and they are receiving prospects and a second round pick in return. Both Brown and Borgman are pretty much locks to make Anaheim's team and Sparks, if he improves, has a fighting chance of getting the backup role. The second might've added to much value and the trade might've worked with a third or maybe even a fourth.

Holl will get replaced by Dermott once he comes back. Don't know if Rosen or Dermott will play on the left side, but in my opinion, it should be Dermott as he will be able to produce better offensively than Rosen on his strong side. Holl will become the scratch that will play in case of injury once Dermott returns.

If Woll isn't ready for backup, he can always be sent down in favour of Hutchinson.

Broberg 8th overall pick is way too good. Zero chance you land him in a zaitsev trade

Yeah. Made a mistake. I was trying to select the guy above him. I'm changing that now.

Why would Anaheim, a team that is about to go through a drastic rebuild, trade away their 1st Round Pick from this year for a 27-year old Zaitsev who's contract currently is severely inflated for his production?

I'm confused. I didn't make that trade with Anaheim or Edmonton.

And now Edmonton has no reason to make this trade. They have half the defensemen on the planet. They aren't going to add another one. If anything, Edmonton is trying to move defensemen OUT. Value may be there, but Edmonton won't be the team to make this trade.

You just edited your post. It was initially Broberg & a 4th for Zaitsev.

Don't care what the rumour is, Zaitsev is not that you as you suggest. That is a bad deal for the Ducks.
I know the Leafs just signed Hutchinson but geez he was the second stringer with the Marlies, no reason to think her an supplant Sparks. And Woll was not dominate in the NCAA, he's iffy to be an NHLer never mind be an NHLer in 2019/20.
