Description

1)Aho signed the contract which by definition makes it an arms length fair transaction!!
2)MB said more than once that Aho wants to be a Hab!
3)they could still negotiate a better deal in this 7 day period!
4)this goes against everything that is know of the Carolina's owner business philosophy.
5)Why would would Carolina keep a player that doesn't want to be there?? They will have 3 good picks next year + whatever MB might do to sweeten the deal.....
6)I deal goes thru, trade Tatar.
7)If deal does not go thru, go after Dzingel.

I know and understand what you are saying, but as a Hab fan, I know the Canes are matching that.
Either way, MTL goes out a winner in my opinion. if the Canes Match the offer(Which they will) the habs Still have a good team, tons of cap room to grow. and if canes don't match, well the habs have a very good team with a ton of young players to build around.

i think the question is . do the owner have enough money to pay 11m in 6 days and complete the 21m bonus next summer . he just lost a lot of money with the football ligue .
and if they trade him next summer they will have already paid half of his salary for 5 years and lost money again if they don't trade him they keep a player that don't want to be there for 4-5 years ?? i don't think so.
the result : the offer sheet realy s*ck for the canes , Aho got what he want 5 years good salary , if they don't match the habs get what they want a first centre for a 1st 2nd 3rd round ,if they match it s*ck for the habs too
