Description
Toronto gets a right handed def that has top 2 potential. Winnipeg gets a forward that they don't have to protect in expansion draft, and it allows them to protect more of their forwards because they don't have to protect 4 def.

    Though what you have offered is value I doubt the leafs are going to trade Nylander. It would be more likely they trade next year's 1st and 31st overall and subtract Nylander due to one of those core players the leafs are building with.

    Top pairing D-men are difficult to come by. I'd give up Nylander to add one.

    Is Trouba that good to be offered more money than Rielly? The difference is salary between Trouba and Nylander is 4.5m. Couldn't the Leafs keep Nylander but find a Dman for 4.5m, even if he isn't as good as Trouba.

    I like willie but the only way I can see the leafs getting a top 2 potential def is by giving up either Matthews, marner or willie. Matthews and marner are better building blocks to build around in my opinion.
