ceci likely gets 5 if it goes to arb.

This makes no sense. If Ceci goes to ARB, bare minimum he can be awarded is 3.7M (15% reduction from last season's salary).

The issue is Ceci isnt worth it and we all know it.

I am really not sure how ARB works that well either

There's no negotiating here in arbitration. It was already reported that the QO would be 4.3 million.

At this point Leafs might just stick the season out with him and let him walk as UFA.

Long story short, Leafs can walk away from his ARB award and let him become a UFA.

I doubt it.
Frankly at this point I'd rather pay more to a Spurgeon in UFA than Ceci because at least Spurgeon is a clear upgrade on offense and defense.

If the Leafs let Ceci and Muzzin walk in UFA, they will have alot cap space as well.
