Poolparty's stock seems low right now. He hasn't done much and I don't think Edmonton would be looking to sell him too high (his biggest value is that they drafted him so high, otherwise he would be just another bottom 6 guy right now). Straight up Djoos for Poolparty might even happen, if Edmonton needs Dmen. Although I'm not sure if there's any room for Poolparty at this point on the Caps. The Caps already fixed their bottom 6 woes from last year with Panik, Hathaway and Leipsic signings, and still have Boyd on the bench (who did have 20 points in 53 games, better than Poolparty). They don't need to really add any more wingers at the NHL level right now. They can't afford it anyway due to the cap being so low.
They certainly won't drop Oshie below the top 6, as his talent for finishing and his sound two way play dictate the minutes he gets. He's still the second most talented goal scorer on the Caps behind Ovi, I'd say. Unfortunately, his body is wearing down due to multiple concussions and injuries, so we may need a replacement for him within a few years.
What they do need is rejuvenated high end forward talent in the organization, but they seemed to address that in the 2019 NHL draft with their first three picks.
