Edmonton has a huge log jam at defense. We'd move out Benning, but not if we have to take back another dman, especially not a 4 million dollar one.

Wayyyy too much for Ehlers. Top 4 right shot D, a second and Tage Thompson? No way.

And now you know how everyone else feels when you try to trade Russell. Ps he has negative value.

Actually, that's pretty close in value. Your over valuing risto. He's a right handed version of Jake Gardiner. Good puck moving dman (which has value) but terrible in his own zone.

He's 24 years old, 6'3 and 215 pounds. In what way is he similar to Jake Gardiner? They couldn't be more different. Ristolainen is a mammoth who's been given zero to work with the last 5 seasons. Buffalo would regret dealing him guaranteed

Well for starters Jake is 6'2 200lbs. They are extremely similar actually, they are both great puck moving defensemen (which I stated previously) however they are both terrible in their own zone (make to many mental lapses, and not a strong IQ) but have elite vision. Is 1 inch and 15lbs really that big of a difference? And who has Gardiner had to work with (besides Reilly for a short time) thats been any good? No Buffalo would not regret trading him, as it would make your defense better. You are over rating Risto, and under rating Elhers trade value.

Yeah, I think that gets it done. You could probably get a late round pick coming back too. And understand, we all have our dream players we want on our team. It's always nice talking too reasonable fans (of all fan basses). Ps I'm a leafs fan so I have no dog in this fight. I only want to see competitive team's, as it's more fun.
