At this point leafs d is inconsistent as a whole, and adding severson wouldn't make it any better

It’s trading a player that is statistically ready former a career season for a past prime liability and a defensive liability. Personally, I’d rather roll the dice on ceci in a contract year trying to save his career over a very blah Dman like severson who has not proven to be defensively responsible.

Very true! But if he played with Reilly, I think it wou2help him to be more consistent. Also we have way more fire power on our team (which I think would help) compared to NJD. That being said I wouldn't do this deal just trying to show that there's lots of options around the league that we could look at.

Leave him to be untouchable... I wouldn’t touch him either. Leafs defence is a bit unknown, think it’s best be patient and see what you have. If a trade comes up and it makes you better you take it. Don’t truly to force a trade.

Agree, and understand. I was more trying to show Maj that there are alot of options around the league other than Pesce. Lol he's new here and he's doing a good job just trying to show more options.

I think with all the Dmen leafs have right now it’s a bit crowded. Yeah it’s going to open up next year but maybe that is a good thing.

Agree, however we have enough dmen that could be sent down now if need be (if we make another addition, which I don't think is likely). Next year is when things get interesting! Only Mogo under contract! What's the cap going to be? Can we keep either or both of Muzzin and Berrie (assuming we make at least one trade helping us free up cap space)? What does Dermot get? Sandin and Liligren will be ready but does anyone else in the farm surprise us this year? Who will be available via free agency (some could sign extensions)? It will definitely be interesting.
