Gotta be a hard pass for the jets right?
Honestly, I think you look at these trades and compare them to offer sheet compensation. Are 4 first round picks greater then this trade? Tough to say, but the trade shouldn't blow Chevvy's skirt up, especially with the best player being one year away from being a UFA. Maybe if Zacha is part of the deal or Severson

That's a lot to pay and a lot to give up for a guy that can be the worst player on your team if he goes cold. His only value is that he can score goals, his defense is atrocious. I'd rather trade for Kyle Connor who is a more rounded player and will be much cheaper.

Butcher is very much overrated. Almost all of his production comes via the PP and now that the Devils have Subban, his value will plummet. They should strongly consider trading Butcher. He's also a defensive liability.
