What kind of return for Nylander is that? Pure pieces of trash! I don’t think trading Willy is going to fly well with any of the Toronto girls, they all love him and would much rather keep him and get rid of Marner!

If you give Marner that contract, you have established your cup window and core. Why would you go and trade Nylander then? Especially for a player not as good, and not in that window?

With an 11m Marner (which I think is high) the Leafs would. be just 2m over the cap. No need to trade Nylander for futures, unless the Leaf plan on spending the cap available on a Dman.
