I think Namestnikov is a little undervalued here (not by much tho), but hooboy if they could actually fool Vegas into taking Howden for Gusev that'd be a coup for NYR (Howden is so bad it wouldn't even matter what Gusev puts up, still a win). Still not a solid playoff team next season, but definitely the beginning of the end of the rebuild.

Namestnikov is a tough one to gauge especially being a ufa. Howden is a former first rounder who had a great start and hit a wall last year after most expected him to be in the AHL last year. What do you think the Rangers would have to give up for him?

I thought he had an ok first season. Hit a wall but wasn’t even expected to make the team from the start
