11.45is not an overpayment at 6+ years,the issue with the Marner negotiations has always been term, Only reason Marner has not sighed an OS is there is no team out there willing to give him Matthews deal. It'll end at a 3 year deal between 8&9 AAV with the final year salary being 11+ so the next contract starts at 11. Marner has multiple OS at 11/12 x 8 which the Leafs would match, he will not sign OS unless 11.5 x 5
